- Write a brief plot overview.
The film was about a football team in Alexandria, Alabama. Where black and white segregation was no longer a thing. Both races go on a football training camp near the location of one of the bloodiest battles ever fought in the civil war. There the players are forced to integrate and realise that they are not so bad. When they return back home they realise that the town is how it was when they left. They then have to live with being forced apart again.
- A character that stood out to me in the film was the head coach because he did not care about race or how a person was and treated everyone as equals.
- The setting of the text was very good and it showed really well where civilisation was at that point of time.
- I think the directors intention was to spread awareness on how things used to be and how this is still a big problem in modern society. I think the director was very effective with this.
- One cinematography technique that I thought was used well was the shot when the students returned to their hometown and the camera showed both sides of the street, the white families on one side and the coloured families on the other. I think it showed really well where the town
