Clarke’s Romeo and Juliet choice paragraph

A choice that occured during romeo and juliet was when Mercutio and Benvolio pressured Romeo into gatecrashing the capulet party. ‘One fairer than my love? The all-seeing sun Ne’er saw her match since first the world begun’ hints towards the fact that Romeo went along to the Capulet party in doubt that he would find anyone like Roseline. He then said ‘I’ll go along, no such sight to be shown, but to rejoice in splendor of my own.’ Giving more evidence that he believed he couldn’t find anyone like Roseline. He also may have gone to prove his counterparts wrong. However he was well and truly wrong. The consequence of this choice Romeo made would eventually lead to his and Juliet’s end. If Romeo had not gone to the party, he never would have met Juliet and therefore him and Juliet would have lived on to have a happy life.
